Decentraland allows gamers to build unique worlds crafted by their imaginations and presented as works of art. These universes also offer opportunities to trade avatars on the Ethereum blockchain.
Decentraland, wearables are fun and inventive ways to express identity and build a unique avatar in the metaverse. When players begin to engage with the game’s ecosystem, they quickly discover that acquiring, trading, and sporting wearables is a rewarding experience.
However, these wearables appear relatively unknown to most players, and many miss out on their rewards.
What is Decentraland?
Decentraland is an Ethereum-based 3D browser-based metaverse platform. Users build, enjoy, and commercialize materials and apps in their virtual environment.
Players can become more fully integrated into the ecosystem by acquiring and exchanging unique NFTs avatars wear in the game. Decentraland releases humorous and eclectic bundles of digital assets, which are then available for acquisition.
What Are Decentraland Wearables?
Decentraland Wearables are gears that avatars wear when exploring the game’s virtual world. Many types and uses, including clothing, can help define an avatar’s character and represent players in the metaverse.
Users customize their avatar’s appearance using pre-installed freemium wearable items. However, for the World Explorer, players can’t exchange these assets for anything. Decentraland’s pre-sale also offers a wide variety of wearable devices that players may purchase from other individuals or directly from the game.
Players can trade NFTs through multiple channels—such as the Opensea marketplace or the Decentraland market.
These wearables are available in various forms, from headwear, footwear, and masks to formal wear outfits, pumpkin heads, and raver spectacles. As a result, every wearable is a non-fungible token (NFT) with its open market. Users can mint, sell, buy or transfer these items for free on the Polygon Matic sidechain.
Categories and Rarities of Wearables
Categories of wearables can depend on the body part they are modifying. Wearables are available as protective and enhancing gears for avatars, including:
- Upper Body
- Lower Body
- Facial Hair
- Body shape
They are also available as accessories that avatars can apply to leading wearables:
Five levels of rarity are associated with Decentraland Wearables, and groupings depend on the number of NFT wearables minted per pattern based on the smart contracts for every collection.
The volume of wearables produced typically dictates the cost of wearables. Based on the inventory quantity, wearables have different rarity levels with unique backdrop colors. They include:
A player’s ability to fabricate Decentraland wearables was made available in June 2021. Users need Curation Committee clearance before minting wearables. Afterwards, they can use or trade them with other players.
