top blockchain games P2E

Our weekly overview of the top 10 blockchain games for May 19th is based on user activity.

Gaming is expanding at a breakneck pace. The gaming business is presently valued at $173 billion, with strong indications that it will exceed $300 billion in the next five years. However, being online for fun is no longer their primary motivation for many people.

As the cliché goes, time is money, and players have undoubtedly noticed that they’re investing a lot in virtual experiences with little return. As a result, they’ve explored ways to monetize their passion.

The rise of blockchain games has flipped the gaming industry by making users, rather than producers, the primary financial decision-makers.

Play-to-earn (P2E) crypto gaming is a growing trend that enthusiasts should not ignore.

Without further ado, here are the top ten games having a significant blockchain presence as of May 19th, 2022.

Top 10 Blockchain Games of the Week

So, here’s a quick breakdown of the movers and shakers in the crypto gaming scene:

top blockchain games

Splinterlands remains the play-to-earn game to beat, with 474k players in the last week and a 5% drop over the previous week’s stats. This is a collectible NFT-based card game based on the Hive blockchain, features daily tasks, seasonal rewards every two weeks, guilds, a tournament system, and an in-game marketplace with safe card rentals!

Splinterlands pits players against one another in one-on-one battles. Each player selects a summoner for the match, followed by a selection of creatures that are either neutral or of the same element as the summoner. Water Summoners, for example, can summon both water and neutral entities.

Players can earn cards and tokens just by playing.

The land gameplay will be available in late 2022.

Alien Worlds

Alien Worlds

Alien Worlds is a decentralized finance non-fungible token (DeFi NFT) Metaverse. Users can earn Trilium, the in-game currency, engage in cosmic adventures, and collect unique things by travelling through the distributed belt of worlds.

To put it simply, it’s a space exploration game in which players scour numerous planets for resources (NFTs), earn in-game currency, and accomplish tasks in the hopes of getting unique things. Alien Worlds had 271k users over the last seven days, an 18% drop compared to users from the previous week.

Farmers World

Farmers World

Farmers World is the first farming game to function on the NFTs platform. Pick suitable tools, exploit various resources, buy land to build enormous farms, and enjoy the fascinating experiences of a farmer working in Farmer’s World’s Ecosystem.

upland Top 10 blockchain games

Upland, launched in 2021, is a Monopoly-inspired EOS blockchain in which participants control digital replicas of real-world properties. Players can purchase virtual property with in-game tokens, which players can also acquire within the game.

Furthermore, this virtual real-estate platform will resemble the Monopoly board game. Users will be able to establish virtual firms, for example.

At the moment, players can only claim buildings in San Francisco and no other city. Upland aims to expand the service to encompass more cities gradually. They also intend to offer challenges and incentives for players who purchase thematic collections of properties, such as buying all cinemas in a particular area.

Upland presently has 147k weekly visitors, a 5% drop compared to the previous week.

Crazy Defense Heroes

Crazy Defense Heroes

It also uses the P2E/NFT concept to make the game an investable proposition. Combining elements from RPG, Strategy, and CCG (Collecting Card games), Animoca has tried to present a title that immerses the audience effectively.

The game had a whopping 500% increase in users number over one week.

You begin a game with three randomly selected blocks and a time limit. Your goal is to score as many points as possible by chaining lines together, like in Tetris. When you use up your initial three blocks, another three random blocks spawn simultaneously.

MOBOX is a free-to-play and play-to-earn game platform that mixes yield farming and farming NFTs. The developers think NFTs can connect each metaverse and strive towards NFT interoperability across games and media.

According to DappRadar, it is the 7th biggest blockchain game, with over 92k players in the last week.
